Samtec appoints Avnet Abacus for distribution throughout Europe
Avnet Abacus today announced that it has signed a pan-European franchise agreement with Samtec, a world leading manufacturer of connectors.
The agreement extends the successful partnership between the two companies to all 19 European countries in which Avnet Abacus operates, including the UK, France, Spain, Finland and Benelux and takes the number of pan-European franchises held by Avnet Abacus to 43. Previously, Avnet Abacus was franchised for Samtec only in Germany, Austria, Italy and Scandinavia.
The excellent logistics capability offered by Avnet in Europe, aligned to Samtec's 'Sudden Service' model, which will be developed specifically with Avnet Abacus to allow a customer drop ship capability later in the year, gives customers across Europe an unrivalled service platform.
